Most of our guests have their visits to tourist sights of interest in the area already planned when they arrive. We are happy to lend a helping hand to others looking to fill their spare time.

This is the area of the rich karstic underground world with Postojna Cave – Predjama Castle is close by and the Škocjan Caves make for an interesting trip in the opposite direction. The world-renowned Lipica Stud Farm with the esteemed Lipizzaner horses is a short drive away as well. Hikers have a choice of Nanos, Vremščica, Slavnik or Snežnik as their destinations. The closest peak is Mount Nanos. One can reach the top in just over an hour through Razdrto. Hikers can return from Vojko’s cabin at the top by passing the St. Hieronymus church, a spot that offers a spectacular view of the Vipava Valley, or by taking a more gently sloping, sunny path running past the St. Bric church and the village of Strane, where you can stop and admire the famous yew tree (Taxus baccata), which is said to have been planted in 350 AD. In its shade you can freshen up with the always cool spring water and power up for your return to the farm.

Those who prefer woods and solitude can hike from Hudičevec through the forests all the way to the village of Sajevče, where you can eat and rest at the Dolenčevi Farm before heading back.

At the farm, the facilities of the former mill and sawmill host a collection of old farming tools, some military equipment and a variety of other interesting things that were once used in the everyday life of the farm.
